Hey Roc, how's it going? I haven't been on the boards in forever but of course I'm still a big fan. Was wondering what's up with TJ lately. How's his health? I hope things are going well. It certainly looks like the band is still rocking and doing great. Did I see something about 15 years! Wow! Congrats! Take care, Toledo Amy

Hi Amy - Good to hear from you, hope to see you again at a show one of these days! Yep, hard to believe 15 years, eh?
Our former drummer Tim "TJ" Hanculak is still dealing with his neuropathy & other health issues on a daily basis. The Myasthenia Gravis he was diagnosed with (and initially severely crippled him) has been brought under control, to an extent, through monthly treatment sessions where he travels to the Cleveland Clinic (from Vermilion) for 2 days each of 4 hours of IG IV treatments. This experimental medication has allowed him some mobility in that he can walk (albeit sometimes with a cane), go up steps (to an extent), etc... but it also still restricts him from any type of extended physical labor... and possibly related to this - or not - but he also has had an ongoing problem with kidney stones that keep recurring, along with other various maladies. So he can't work, and is just barely getting by financially through very limited gov't programs and the support of his brother, myself, and some other friends. We still hang out frequently, he's a close friend that I love dearly and try to keep his spirits up but he has a hard lot to deal with and it takes his toll on him... to his credit, in spite of all that, he still can make me feel better whenever I vent to him about stuff, lol... Whenever we hang out over here at my house, we sometimes hit the basement jam room and play for a few minutes - my goal is to get him back onstage for just 1 song... I know he could physically get through that but emotionally it's tough, he still has not been back to see the band since his initial hospitalization4 years ago. I just called him to invite him out to dinner tonight, I'll pass on your best wishes - thanks for checking in and I hope we can see you at a show soon!
Cheers! Eroc
PS - Jim & I will be playing with the Colin Dussault Acoustic Project at a Toledo Holiday Inn sometime on January & February for 2 weekends - I'll let you know when I get more details!

I appreciate your very thorough update on TJ. How sad for him. I'm glad that he has friends like you to lift his spirits. I can't believe it's been four years since this shit all came down on him. Thanks for telling him I said hi too. And as for Toledo, if you play it, we will come! Just let me know when and where! I'm sure I'll love whatever music you play Roc. Miss you, Amy
