WISH YOU WERE HERE headline a special Children's Autism Benefit Concert on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the historic Canton Palace Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
Performing Pink Floyd's 'Animals' album in its entirety plus many Classics from Dark Side of the Moon and throughout their career, the band is excited to be a part of this benefit show. Opening act will be international drum legend (and Canton native) JOE VITALE with Chris Wintrip and friends. This concert will benefit Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children, Inc, and is presented by Bud Buxton Productions.
Tickets go onsale THIS MONDAY July 2 at 10am and are available online at www.cantonpalacetheatre.org or by contacting the Canton Palace Theatre Box Office at (330) 454-8172, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Tickets are available for $30 with all proceeds going towards the Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children, Inc. The event is sponsored by Bud Buxton, 3 Brothers Corner Tavern, Mix 94.1 and News-Talk 1480 WHBC.
The Golden Key Center is a 501-c3 non-profit organization with a mission to provide quality child care and intervention services for children and families with special needs or medically fragile. The event will benefit the Golden Key’s initiative to purchase its current location to continue to provide specialized intervention services for the Autistic and Special Needs population as well as typically developing children. www.goldenkeychildcare.com
JOE VITALE is best known for his work with the Eagles, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton and CSN, and his solo performances in the late 70’s and 80’s. In 2008 Vitale released Speaking In Drums, a collection of 11 songs written and performed by Joe, his wife Susie, and his son Joe Jr. among other guests.
