I've heard and read about the progressive band PORCUPINE TREE, and their Floyd-ish sound. Anybody out there who knows about them, that can give me more info about their sound & music, and what would the be the best CD to get?

Hey Eroc, Jamie here . . . I've got some PT, so I can hook you up. The earlier stuff (which was basically brain-child Steven Wilson's solo project) is REAL Floyd-y . . . very Gilmour-ish guitar tones and flavor, yet modern. Kind of hard to explain. Their newer stuff isn't as Floyd-y probably to someone hearing them for the first time, but if you start from the beginning and work your way up (kind of like w/ the Floyd themselves, oddly enough) you'll get a feel for it. I've got some great PT boots, we can do a trade in your spare time :-)
