. . . and DUH! I don't know why this hasn't been asked yet but, Eroc, how does WYWH cover that part of the tune? . . . (remember, I only saw you do it during soundcheck and you all kinda just let it go during the 'funky' jam part so, I didn't get to 'see' you guys play that part yet) . . . The Echoes at the Wall show was crazy lol....I think they said they broke the 30 minute mark....(that's 8 minutes longer than the album lol....Rog, Dave, Nick, Rick (along with the great jam bands) woulda been impressed lol). Echoes bouncing off the ledges? That is a hell of an idea. I don't think I'm going to get to camp. I'm going to see Rush Friday night in Indianapolis (Deer Creek) and then going straight to Canton from the show. I'll be around on Saturday tho... lol. Eric

And Echoes was 33 minutes at the Odeon.. gotta keep working on that ;D . Eroc How could you possibly make it longer lol....the only thing I can think of is putting another song in the jam sections lol....maybe a little Echoes>Space>Echoes.....or would that be a break of the Floyd by-laws? Hmmmm........ Eric

33 minutes!?
I've GOTTA hear that one . . . think I could get a copy of that along w/ the Columbus show that Beth and I were at? . . .
Maybe you should hire me as your tape archivist?
LATVALA!
P.S.: . . . and I expect an upright bass for that section in Echoes (maybe w/ a distortion pedal and a slide! . . . ok, I sense I've gone too far) . . . along w/ your theramin (sp?) this time ha ha :-)

That's a helluva jam (33 min). I like the idea of the "space" jam being inserted to lengthen the jam. Countless possibilities even without any huge variation from the original. The jam that is a prelude to the "trippy" part could definitely be endless. I jam with a similar style and/or chord progression on my acoustic all the time as I'm sure most musicians do. That's one of my personal improv. warmups. The section that I mentioned, to me, is the Floyd "sound" all summed up. Just straight jammin. Me playin guitar probably has something to do with why I think that. I used to concentrate more on the Gilmour's lead when I was younger and therefore, my style is of course influenced by Dave. The "sound" I'm talking about isn't just Dave's guitar though. It's Roger throwin out heavy bass riffs, the keys and guitar together, and the overall sound of the heavy jamming. Anyway, I can't wait to hear it. I might have to wait 'til the ledges show, unfortunately, do to money restraints.
