I'm wondering what the band's stance is on this. I haven't seen much of this when I browse the boards, even though I don't get around here too often. Though, I am fairly certain most local bands are open with taping and trading.
What is the policy?
Thanks,
- jeff

Hi Jeff- I don't mind when people come to tape our shows - I usually just ask for a copy for myself.... and many times I never end up getting one! Some of the venues have different policies regarding that, but we usually don't mind. We have sold a few shows in the past, so there are some out there. Eroc

. . . and there'll be more copies available . . . as soon as I get some copies! :-)
. . . how's the status of the video from the Bogart's show, Eroc? Have you received a copy yet?

The videographer is still working on it.... it was a rough show for us, Scotty had the flu, the broken down van, the lighting, etc... Not sure to what extent we will make it available, publicly. One funny thing - the videographer wants us to do a commentary track - that has all kinds of potential there, lol... Eroc

A commetary track? That'll be fuckin' awesome (and I'm sure hilarious, too) . . .
So, does that mean he's gonna go for the 5.1 Surround Sound mix, too?
:-)
(I know, he can't . . . just bein' a smart ass)

If he can't do 5.1 I know he knows people who can A commentary track would def benefit the help of some Jager and what not lol.......

I caught the 5/21 Odeon show, audience recording. Unfortunately, I'm still working out the kinks with my new rig, and so is my friend. He let me use his recharable 9vs and since they are old, they don't seem to hold their charge. So, sadly I miss about the last 1/2 hour of the show. I think during "Money" (a friend who is transferring told me) I lose complete signal. However, the part that was captured before the battery dump, is awesome. Once I get it back from him and have time to cut it to tracks, I'll make it available. I'd like to get a few other WYWH recordings, though I do know this one is a bit flawed. - jeff

Yeah, but, if they only took a stereo feed (two channels, left and right), they can't do a 5.1 mix, can they? I mean, Pro Tools (especially HD) can do some amazing things, but, unless they had a multi-track mix to go from, I don't think they could do a true 5.1 . . . am I right?

Of course! I wouldn't expect any less!

I would assume it would be "fake" 5.1 but would still sound sweet...it just depends how much time they'd put in on it. So it could work....I dunno lol.
