Just sitting here thinking it is time to bring out those bricks again and the uniformed school children, the housewife and schoolteacher... We need a Wall fix in other words! Canton was awesome, but any old theater would do. All and all, its all just bricks in the wall...

Hi WYWH That was an awesome show last night (7/26/08) in Cleveland. I drove up from Columbus not really knowing what to expect. It was much better than expected. Thanks Guys !!! The children's choir was awesome. My favorite part was the guitar solo during Comfortably Numb in front of "The Wall". Maybe next time you could do it from the top of "The Wall" like David Gilmore used to do. Flying your "Big and Angry" Pig above "The Wall" was awesome. I had six row, center reserved seats. Question: Did the band purposely start playing "The Wall" set right in the middle of the Time Warner guy's speech on following the rules of the amphitheater? He looked a little upset!!! I guess you broke down his "Wall". Just wondering

Hi Dayers - Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the show and that it was worth the trip up from Columbus!
I watched a video from the show and I agree with you about Mark's solo in Comfortably Numb - it was so powerful, along with the final brick placement in the Wall, that it brought much of the audience to their feet!
To answer your question, Yes - the band purposely intruded upon MC (and WNCX personality) Mike Olszewski's announcements to begin The Wall set, as Pink Floyd did in their own performances of The Wall. According to the book "Comfortably Numb - A History of The Wall" by Vernon Fitch & Richard Mahon, "...it was as if the band was making the statement that the MC was so insignificant that he/she was to be ignored completely."
Thanks for your support! Eroc

Our friends that came along were completely blown away and can't for the next show at the House of Blues.
