We haven't done "The Wall" since I've been in the band (Jan. '06), but, the band *has* performed the wall nine times in four different cities, (the last performance being NOVEMBER 26, 2005 - CANTON PALACE THEATRE - CANTON, OH . . . pictures here: floydtribute.com/photos.htmWe've been getting a lot of requests about "The Wall" lately, starting a couple of months before our latest production this past July 28th @ Plain Dealer Pavilion in Cleveland, so, who knows about the future? ;D

Oh! And our next show (and last appearance for '07) in Columbus is October 19th @ Newport Music Hall. Any hints or clues as to what the set list may be for the Newport show? ? Need to close out '07 in style.......... ;D

Meddle was "the" album that turned me on to PF.

If you go here: floydtribute.com/bio.htmand scroll down, you can see every song we've ever played. And, btw, we do "Echoes" all the time. Guess you just haven't been to the "right" gigs!

Hey James I hear your friends with a friend of mine, Beka27 from Deadhook. I am trying to get her to come down for the Columbus show in October, and offered her a ticket.

Thanks for pointing out the link. I've only seen the band a few times and, alas, I must not have been at the "right" one! I'll keep showing up till I hear it!

Meddle was "the" album that turned me on to PF. I think Meddle is way underrated. I LOVE that album! There's only one bad song: San Tropez. It has grown on me a bit over the years but it may be one of the worst Floyd songs ever. Thoughts?? I've also always enjoyed Obscured By Clouds. Another under-appreciated album.

To answer the earlier question in this thread about The Wall, read the thread entitled "the wall?" that's about 4 or 5 threads down, in this section... Yes, Meddle is a great album, I think San Tropez is a bit of filler, but it does show them experimenting with their jazzier side, and that was recorded towards the end of the period where they were still searching for a direction - although they realized the found it, for the most part, with Echoes... btw, we have a great version of Pillow Of Winds posted on our Audio page, at www.floydtribute.com/audio.htmObscured By Clouds is their often-overlooked gem - some incredibly beautiful songs on there! Looking forward to meeting everybody at the Newport, too - we'll arrange a meeting at the merch table sometime before the show. See ya then! Eroc

Can you imagine what would have happened had Floyd went down the "jazz" path as opposed to the "Echoes" path? I shudder to think....
Anyway - Cool version of "Pillow of Winds". I love that song and usually find myself in the minority on this one - well done!
I hope to make the show and meet & greet!

Well, Rick was always the one into jazz the most... seeing how much his influence waned as the band progressed, that makes sense (the final direction they took), lol...

We *always* throw in at least one Syd song per show (usually 'Astronomy Domine' or I'll do 'Jugband Blues'), however, I can guarantee that we'll be doing a Syd-era tune that *none* of you have heard us do before
(btw: Eroc, you need to add "Let There Be More Light" along w/ the "new" Syd-era song to the list of songs page on our bio!)
