Today is a sad day indeed for the passing of Richard Wright. His great writing and work on "The Great Gig in the Sky" and Us and Them" will last an eternity. I can't even imagine "Dark Side of the Moon" or really any Pink Floyd work with out him. He will be missed immensely. I will forever toast my drink to him whenever I hear a Pink Floyd song.

I think our guitarist/vocalist Jamie Combs expressed his thoughts on Rick Wright very eloquently and accurately (I copied this from the "Last Walls setlist" thread) :
It seems that all the great bands have a "quiet one" that has more influence on what goes on then most people seem to know until either it's too late or the person passes on. The Beatles had George, John Paul for Zep, and the Floyd had Rick. His Hammond B-3 lines, and, of course, his "spacey turkish delight" licks are the cornerstone of many a Floyd composition. (Then, I was going to introduce "a lil' something that was originally known as 'The Violence Sequence' and has become a rock 'n' roll classic. For Rick.")
Sorry we didn't get to that at the shows! E
