You guys blow me away everytime! The last Renassaince show being the fourth show I've seen. But I'm a huge Syd fan and it's really dissapointing to hear See Emily Play when I know damn well that you can play some real classics! I remember discussing this with one of you guys before, you just said none of the audience really knows any syd songs, therefore, playing the poppiest [shittiest, in my opinion] barret era song is the only way to go. Pay righteous tribute to syd guys, don't just get the point across like british pop radio.

See Emily Play is a Great song. Yes it would be great to hear Dark Globe or Dominoes but, They do play Astronomy Domine and Arnold Lane. Maybe one day they will have an all Syd show. 50 die hards will show up and you and I will get to meet. :-) Till then.

Anything from Piper would do me good. They are a Floyd band, I seriously doubt anyone would really know barrett solo material[other than us hardcore floydians].

Here's a photo of Colin Turner, the owner of PinkFloydz.com and Roger and I at the Denver show in 2008. I'm the one in the middle. ;D

Ah, the Syd debate once again, lol... Yes, the point is well taken that more (& deeper) Syd would be welcomed by the hardcore fans.. for most shows, we always have our "Syd slot" early in the 1st set, and we try to get another in somewhere else if we can. But due to the nature of our performances and the vast amount of over-all Pink Floyd material out there, there's no realistic way we can do more than that and not alienate the majority of our audience... So, we almost always feature See Emily Play or Arnold Layne (we've played Emily over the last year so we'll be going back to Arnold for a little while, starting this Saturday), and also add in Astronomy Domine fairly often - which is definitely not a "British pop radio hit". Hey, if it wasn't for those 2 hits, there would probably not have been a Floyd that carried on - so In My Opinion we should be thankful for those songs & celebrate them for what they are - classic Syd songwriting that afforded them the opportunity to do the more avant-garde material! Other Syd tunes we've covered (besides those 3) include Jugband Blues (Jamie rules on that), Bike (my 1st favorite Syd), and Interstellar Overdrive. Pulling out some other Piper tunes in the future would be fun, so maybe we'll look at doing that for the next round of shows. Cheers! Eroc PS - Great photos with the Big Boys, theend!
