Another HOB show for the record books - once again, a marathon show of over 3 and a half hours and including Dark Side Of The Moon and for the first time, Obscured By Clouds. Over 700 fans & friends braved the downtown Cavs & Tribe minions to join us in a communal celebration of the Floyd musical cannon. As is par for the course, the day was not without it's challenges - due to private events at HOB that afternoon, our soundcheck was seriously shortened but in spite of the rush, we managed a quick run-through of enough of Obscured to give us some confidence going into the show - and I was very happy with the way we pulled it off. And not everybody in the audience fell asleep! Kudos to Bob, Jamie, Mark, JD & Jim for the extra effort they put in, and the rest of our band & crew for being the professionals they are... and also, thanks to all our road-tripping friends from Columbus, Indiana, Baltimore and of course our fans from all over Northeast Ohio - you are The Best!

Eroc, Despite whatever challenges you guys went through, you pulled it off in grand fashion as always. We absolutely loved it! The road trip from Indiana was well worth it as usual. Never a doubt in my mind. Keep up the great work, can't wait till we can see you guys again!

Completely agree....trip well worth it!! Of all the album shows I've seen you guys perform, Obscured was probably my favorite. I dunno if you gave me low expectations or what with the "not much practice time" post, but you guys blew me away with Obscured....of course Dogs as a second set starter was a GREAT surprise too! (I kept hoping for it all through the first set after seeing Jim pop up on stage...I was waiting for Jamie to grab his acoustic and Mark to grab his Strat while Jim was out, which never happened before DSOTM, so I thought it was sunk.)
This hardcore fan wants to thank all of you for taking the time and effort to learn Obscured and perform it knowing that it would be a tough draw for the crowd! I think playing it second set was the absolute right call--it let us passionate fans get rid of all the dumbasses who drunkenly had to have convos during Dark Side, etc., so screw it if we lost some people during 2nd set...I had a great view and a great listening experience in the pit--and so did all the people that I saw around us!! So thank you guys!! You made the trip well worth it!!
Great set list overall too! Eric

The only Empty Spaces that night & when writing that post were in my head! About omitting Childhood's End... I just copied the setlist from the email I had sent that band before the show... nobody corrected me then! (and you can see Kleon's photo of the setlist where I had to write it in...) Kirk - Good to see you & Rebecca before the show, glad you enjoyed it! Eric - Thanks much also! Nice that Dogs was a surprise for ya... it was cool playing OBC and I could see you & the guys right in front of us. Okay, now to go back & correct my oversight! Eroc

Wow....so my reliving was not accurate LOL. I can't remember (obviously!), how'd you guys start Brick 2, a la PULSE? Man, I can't believe I was sitting there (and still kind of sitting here thinking) that I heard Bob singing, "When we grew up.." LOL.
Ah, memories HAHA..... Can't wait til next time! Eric

No, we've never started Brick 2 a la PULSE, (although, I've always thought it'd be something cool to do someday)...
Ya see, when we put the set lists together, we tend to abbreviate some things. So, for example, when it says ANOTHER BRICK PT. 2, that *actually* means 'The Happiest Days Of Our Lives' & 'Another Brick In The Wall (pt. 2)...SHINE ON always means 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pts. I-V), unless we're doing a special arrangement like we did this past show, then it's amended like above...BRAIN DAMAGE always means 'Brain Damage' & 'Eclipse'...and, of course YOUNG LUST always means 'Empty Spaces' & 'Young Lust', unless, of course, we do 'What Shall We Do Now?' instead...
And, like Eroc mentioned, he just copied what he had set up for the set list (and yeah, none of us noticed that 'Childhood's End' was missing until they were already printed out)...when I post the set lists, I try to remember to go in and put in *everythng* for those of you that don't jump to the conclusion (correctly) that we *did* in fact play the tracks as you thought we did, but, I don't always remember to do that...I've gotten used to seeing them written that way on the setlists ;D

Holy geez....talk about a brain fart, like a 24 hour brain fart at that!! Yes, I meant 'Happiest Days...' the whole time 'Young Lust' didn't get played, so how weird would it have been to have had 'Empty Spaces'.......Roc, you ain't the only one with some empty space in the head lol. Eric
