WISH YOU WERE HERE returns to The TANGIER in Akron on Saturday, MARCH 19 at 9pm.The band will perform all your favorite classics & obscurities plus ANIMALS in its entirety - including songs not played at the most recent show. This will be the band's ONLY Northeast Ohio appearance until the late Spring/early summer. The Tangier is a great intimate venue (capacity 450) with plenty of seating at booths, tables & the bar plus some standing room. You cannot get any closer to the stage than at this venue!! We highly recommend you get your tickets early, this show may sell out! Tickets are available by calling 330-376-7171 or visiting the Tangier Box Office - for more info go to thetangier.com/entertainment.phpAlso - Check out photographer John Ward's Gallery from last year's show at The Tangier in Akron - a great intimate venue to get up close & personal www.jwward.com/ConcertImages/WYWH/20100306/index.htm

Hi All - Fantastic show last night. My first time at Tangier. Great place! The staff and service there was excellent. Hopefully you will play there again next year. AD for the first song is a great way to set the tone. You guys rock as always.. Looking forward to Newport next month in Columbus.

Hi Dean - Thanks very much for the kind words, we're glad you enjoyed the show! I also like having Astronomy as an opener, it really 'kicks open' the doors to get the show rolling and also apropos in that respect as it's a Syd Barrett song as well. Also glad that you had a positive experience at the Tangier. While we do have to reduce the size & scope of our production & lighting for shows there and it gets real tight on stage, it's also a unique venue in that it presents a very intimate relationship between the band and audience - which I very much dig... I've been playing in that room for over 17 years (with Michael Stanley) and while it's not without it's challenges, it has that classic Vegas showroom vibe unlike any other venue in Northeast Ohio. Thanks again & we'll see you at the Newport in Columbus on April 16.
Cheers! Eroc

We had some technical difficulties in addition to the venue size which made using our laser light show impractical, but it will be up & running for the next shows - Saturday April 16 at the Newport in Columbus and Friday May 13 at the Cleveland HOB. I see you are doing Animals at the LC in Columbus. Of course I won't wish I was there, cause I will be.

Not at the LC, ragged...but @ The Newport Music Hall...and, as always, apart from Animals, the setlist will be different from the Tangier show (and it'll be different when we present Animals @ House Of Blues in Cleveland on May 13th!) See ya there!!!

Yeah, I caught that. My original info came from a promo west e-mail, but they demoted you guys again. The Newport is more intimate, but there's that smell and I always wonder if I'll get hit with falling plaster. I'll be there and will bring some friends, as per usual. By my estimate, I believe this will be my 20th WYWH show.
