FOR RELEASE: JIM & EROC’s CLEVELAND RESOLUTION May 9, 2011
WISH YOU WERE HERE founding members Jim Tigue and Eric “Eroc” Sosinski have been honored with an official Resolution passed by the Cleveland City Council recognizing their musical accomplishments on the 25th Anniversary of their creative and business partnership. This Resolution will be presented to Jim & Eroc by Council President Martin J. Sweeney at the House Of Blues prior to the performance with their band Wish You Were Here this Friday, May 13 at 9pm. Jim & Eroc will also perform a short acoustic duo set preceding the band’s 2 sets.
Since 1986, Jim Tigue & Eric “Eroc” Sosinski have forged over 25 years of musical creativity and have played over 2,000 gigs together, both as an acoustic duo and as founding members of popular Cleveland-based Midwest American bands. They founded the internationally recognized Pink Floyd tribute band Wish You Were Here, who after 16 years continue to set attendance records at venues throughout Ohio and headlined most major Cleveland concert venues. Other notable past & current acts include Harvest and Tie-Dye Harvest, Sugar Magnolia - Grateful Dead Tribute, the Colin Dussault Acoustic Trio, and The Classic Rock All Stars. As full-time entertainers, Eroc’s position as bassist for Michael Stanley since 1993 as well as Stanley's side project Midlife Chryslers, and Jim’s award-winning children’s projects, solo gigs and performing with his wife Marysa as The Mighty Tigues confirm and reinforce their reputation as two of Cleveland’s hardest-working musicians, performing close to 250 gigs a year.
Jim & Eroc will be celebrating the 25 Anniversary of their musical partnership during the remainder of 2011 by performing with their various musical acts at venues throughout Northeast Ohio, including special events that will be recorded for planned release by the end of the year.
